Environmen. Education

Promotion for schools- Environmental Education. Take a look.

Projecto Novas Descobertas started in 2010 a program of Education for Sustainability directed to the child/youth in schools/classes, from primary school to secondary school, with various activities adapted to the different age groups.

These activities are intended to be educational but at the same time attractive and recreational for children and youth, using non-formal education as a mean of transmission of teachings and values, willing to increased sensitivity of young people on Sustainable Development and a greater sense of citizenship, so important nowadays.

These activities also aim to further develop skills in young children, such as personal development, self-esteem, teamwork and cohesion of the class.

Our program includes themes like Renewable Energies, Water, Organic Horticulture and Composting, Permaculture, Trees, Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Consumerism and the Rs.

Activities are held at the “Quinta do Vale da Lama” (Odiáxere parish, municipality of Lagos), with which the association has a partnership (and where the residential summer camps take place during summer).

This draft was presented to the Regional Directorate of Education in Faro, having been approved and supported in its dissemination.

We invite all interested parties to contact us for bookings or more information.
