Registered in the National Register of Youth Organisations since 1990, PND is the brainchild of Nita Barroca, who wanted to bring to Portugal her professional in Community Assistance and Summer Camps, which she acquired in Canada.

PND relies on the kind help of public and private entities as well as on the volunteering spirit of its members and friends.

The association’s main activities include the organisation of Summer Camps, Youth Exchanges throughout Europe, Free Time Occupation, the Training of Monitors and performing Traditional Games throughout Portugal. It also performs locally a wide range of activities all-year round.

At the moment, Project New Discoveries has around 150 associates throughout the country. By paying an annual fee of €10 all associates are entitled to:

* Receiving information regarding all activities;
* Attending the New Discoveries Office;
* Receiving PND’s newspaper by mail;
* Special conditions and prices in all activities;
* Access to our online community;
* Participating and voting in our Assembly.
